Professional Results, Here's What You Can Expect!
What's Included! - With our mulch and stone services, we charge by the yard and it includes, weeding the flower bed prior to installation, trimming bushes and flowers as needed, delivery of new materials, labor costs, and any debris removal from the job. In extreme overgrowth conditions, an initial clean-up charge may be required and is addressed during the in-person estimate.
-
Why Mulch?- Mulch is cheaper than stone and must be redone every 6-12 months. There are some added benefits that stone doesn't give, such as soil health as the mulch breaks down, it adds organic matter to the soil, which can improve soil structure, fertility, and water-holding capacity. This can lead to healthier plants and a more resilient landscape.
-
Why Stone? - Stone can be anywhere from 3 to 6 times the mulch cost but last much longer. With stone, there is a little need to add more. Typically this is only required after the ground has settled. Also, stone has a higher success rate at keeping out weeds than mulch does.

5 Benefits of Mulch & Stone
-
Moisture retention: helps retain moisture in the soil, reducing the need for frequent watering.
-
Weed control: Acts as the barrier between the soil and the outside environment, preventing weed seeds from germinating and growing. This can reduce the amount of time and money spent on weeding, as well as the need for herbicides.
-
Erosion control: Prevents soil erosion caused by wind and water by holding the soil in place and reducing the impact of raindrops on the soil surface.
-
Drainage: Stone & Mulch can help improve drainage in a landscape by allowing water to penetrate the soil more efficiently, reducing the risk of standing water and waterlogged soil.
-
Aesthetics: Stone and mulch can enhance the appearance of a landscape by adding texture, color, and contrast. It can also help to unify different elements in the landscape design.
